The Board of Directors, which is the decision-making body of Çukurova Development Agency, which operates under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, is chaired by the Governor of Mersin, and consists of the Governor of Adana, the Mayor of Adana Metropolitan Municipality, the Mayor of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Adana Chamber of Industry and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Development Board, which consists of representatives from the private sector, civil society organizations, public institutions, local governments and universities, is the advisory body of the Agency. With the decision of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette dated August 19, 2016 and numbered 29806, the duties of the members of the development boards in regions other than the Level 2 regions consisting of a single province have ended, and efforts are ongoing to re-establish the boards. The executive body of the Agency is the General Secretariat, which provides management of the different working units within the Agency. There are four working units, two investment support offices and one legal advisor working under the General Secretariat, and 24 experts and 7 support personnel are on duty.
